YOUR AI IS BAD
AT DESIGN. FIX IT
WITH 3 SKILLS.

Claude Code and Codex write working code and ugly interfaces. Generic spacing, default fonts, the same purple gradient everyone ships. Three free skills fix the output. One workflow fixes the taste.

All three work in Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor. Install once.

You can wire these up yourself, the links are all here. But if you want a real design system built for your brand, your product, your site, set up so every build comes out on-brand instead of generic, that is what I do. Reply to this email or DM me DESIGN and I will take a look.

THE 3 SKILLS

1. Impeccable THE VOCABULARY

Gives the agent real design language so it stops producing slop. It can also audit and fix an existing site, not just build new ones. By Paul Bakaus, founder of jQuery UI.

2. Taste Skill THE TASTE

Trained on award-winning designs. Stops the vanilla, averaged-out output and pushes toward work that actually looks designed. Has an image-to-code variant. By Leon.

3. Animation Skill THE MOTION

Proper easing and motion so the UI feels alive instead of static. Built by Emil Kowalski, who teaches motion at animations.dev.

Setup, one line: drop each skill into your agent's skills folder (or its plugin/marketplace install), restart, and it triggers automatically on design work.

THE MISSING PIECE

Skills only execute. They do not give your AI a point of view. A real designer never starts from a blank prompt, they start from references. Do this before you let the skills touch anything.

STEP A
Steal first.
Grab 3 or 4 screenshots of products you love. Mobbin, Awwwards, or the app itself.
STEP B
Feed them in as the brief.
Show the vibe, do not describe it. Image-to-code beats a paragraph every time.
STEP C
Pick a lane before it builds.
Minimal, editorial, or brutalist. Name it, so it is not averaging every site on the internet.
STEP D
Then run the 3 skills.
Execute, polish, animate. In that order.

THE SKILLS ARE THE HANDS.
YOUR REFERENCES ARE THE EYES.

THAT IS THE STACK

Three skills to execute, a reference-first workflow to give it taste. If you would rather have a proper design system built for your brand so every build ships on-brand by default, reply to this email or DM me DESIGN. That is the job.
