You commented SPEED. Here's everything — the command, the exact prompt, and my numbers.
The command (free, no install, no account):
npx lighthouse https://yoursite.com --viewWhat this actually is
Lighthouse is Google's own site grader — the same tool their systems use to judge your pages. It scores you out of 100 on four things: performance, accessibility, best practices, and SEO.
The command above runs it against any site and opens the full report in your browser. Takes about 30 seconds.
My before
I ran it on my own site — and I sell websites for a living.
Performance | Accessibility | Best practices | SEO |
|---|---|---|---|
70 | 86 | 96 | 100 |
Notice the shape of that. The SEO everyone obsesses over: perfect. The thing actually costing me: speed.
Largest Contentful Paint: 3.4s — Google's "good" line is 2.5s
Total Blocking Time: 790ms — Google's line is 200ms
Translation: my site looks finished at 1.2 seconds but doesn't respond until nearly 4. People tap, nothing happens, they leave. You never see this on your own machine — it shows up on a phone, on mobile data.
It also flagged things I'd never have caught by eye: buttons with no accessible name, contrast a screen reader can't use, console errors, headings out of order. Nine findings in total.
The prompt
Paste your four scores (or the whole report) into Claude Code and say exactly this:
Fix the 3 worst findings. Show me the diff before you touch anything. The second sentence is the whole trick. Leave it out and Claude Code starts rewriting your site while you watch. Put it in and every single change waits for your yes — you review real diffs, you approve, it applies. Nothing lands blind.
My after
I'm running the fix pass on my own site this week, with every diff reviewed — and I'll publish the before/after scores here and on the page when it deploys. Reply AFTER to this email and I'll send you the numbers the day they land. No projections, only measured.
Do this tonight
Run the command on your own site. 30 seconds.
Look at the performance number first, not SEO.
Paste the scores into Claude Code with the prompt above.
Read the diffs before saying yes. That's the discipline that makes this safe.
One ask
Run it and reply with your four numbers — I read every reply, and the wildest before/afters end up in here.
PS — if you'd rather someone just made your site fast for you, that's what I do at optimax-ai.com.
