Turn Claude Into A Sales System

Anthropic's Head of Sales runs his team on Claude. I sell enterprise software for a living, so I took his 4 plays and upgraded 3 of them with what actually moves deals. Here is the exact setup. Paste each one into a Claude Project connected to your CRM. Works with Salesforce, HubSpot, Attio, anything.

1

Call prep on a schedule

The play

Every morning Claude writes a one-page brief for each meeting from your pipeline data, ready before you sit down.

The upgrade

Prep what you are missing, not what you have. Have it flag the coverage gap: you have met the champion but never the budget holder. That gap is what loses deals.

// paste into Claude
Every morning, pull today's meetings from my CRM. For each one write a one-page brief: account, stage, deal value, last 3 touchpoints, open objections, and who I have spoken to. Then flag the gap. Which decision-maker have I NOT met yet (champion, budget holder, economic buyer)? Lead with the gap.
2

Weekly forecast on autopilot

The play

Every Friday Claude builds the one-pager leadership wants from your opportunity records and notes. Saves about 3 hours.

The upgrade

A forecast is not a status report. It is a risk register. Have it flag the deals quietly dying: no next step booked, gone silent, single-threaded.

// paste into Claude
Every Friday, build my forecast one-pager from my open opportunities and notes. Group by commit, best case, and pipeline. Then flag every at-risk deal: no next step booked, no contact in 14+ days, or single-threaded. List those first under "Deals quietly dying."
3

Score your whole book overnight

The play

Give Claude a scoring rubric and your account list. Wake up to every account ranked on likelihood to close, with reasons.

The upgrade

The scores are not the point. Disqualification is. The real output is which accounts to ignore, so you pour everything into the few that move.

// paste into Claude
Score every account in this list 1-100 on likelihood to close this quarter. Rubric: budget confirmed (25), economic buyer engaged (25), clear next step (20), pain quantified (15), timeline set (15). Output three buckets: Pour in, Hold, Disqualify. The Disqualify list matters most. Tell me what to stop chasing and why.
4

Follow-up + multithreading map

The play he missed

After every call Claude drafts the follow-up AND maps who in the account you still have not reached: economic buyer, procurement, legal, exec sponsor.

Why it matters

Single-threaded deals die. Prep and forecasts do not close anything. Follow-through does.

// paste into Claude
After I paste my call notes, do two things. One: draft a follow-up email in my voice with clear next steps. Two: map the account. List every role that touches an enterprise deal (economic buyer, procurement, legal, exec sponsor, end users) and mark who I have reached and who I have not. Name the single most important person I am not yet talking to.

Claude builds the what.
You do the why.

The what is prep, forecasts, scoring, drafting. The why is reading the room, building the champion, knowing when a deal is dead. AI clears the desk so you can do the part only you can do. Follow for tomorrow's play.
